Google CR-80 is the new Minitel?

Maybe you remember the Minitel, or not,  but i do and the new Google Cr-80 just remind me that. Off course its not as easy of a comparison and i imagine the guys in Big G are smarter than a bunch of French burocrats... and the Minitel was free and it was not running on an open internet but i still see lot of similarities between the two.
